Alleged Kansas Speaker Conflict Of Interest
The Star: "The complaint was filed Friday by House Democratic leaders who accuse Kansas House Speaker Mike O'Neal of having a conflict of interest by representing a coalition of business groups in a lawsuit against the state."

I bet we are going to find out that while such an arrangement would lead to the imprisonment of a regular citizen, the legislators have crafted an exception allowing them to do almost anything they please. It's good to see, however, that the politicians in Kansas learned a few tricks from Speaker Jetton.
I would suggest another ethics committee be formed to investigate why the legislators get raises when the State is broke and they are contemplating tax increases.
ya know, my daycare provider hasn't gotten a raise in many years. and i'm now earning the same as i did 12 years ago.
good thing prices haven't gone up since the last millennium, eh?
