The TKC Saturday Night Playlist!!! Let's Stop Talking About A Mayor Funky Comeback!!!

I have a lot of respect for Steve Kraske. He has a decent column and a pretty sweet radio program. However, Kraske recently filed yet another column touting a new start for Mayor Funky which makes me think that he has the political insight of a hobo on crack.

Get it straight:

MAYOR FUNKY IS NEVER MAKING A COMEBACK WHEN IT COMES TO KANSAS CITY POLITICS!!!

Let's review . . .

Upon entering office Mayor Funky almost took a stupid Honda Sponsorship deal reportedly set up by Gloria Squitiro AND THEN he betrayed every single word he said to local Latino Leaders that he heavily recruited for support. AFTER the Semler debacle was done Funky supporters claimed he was getting back on track.

Co-Mayor Squitiro then went wild in the Mayor's office and was the inspiration for the "Mammygate" lawsuit. Many, many months later the lawsuit for Gloria Squitiro's words was settled and Funky Supporters claimed he was getting back on track.

Gloria Squitiro caused so much strife and divisiveness in with her shocking and strange SMUDGE STICK ways that the City Council was forced to step in and create an ordinance to chase her bare feet away. The ordinance was later stuck down and in the aftermath, with Gloria safely running the show from her Brookside dwelling and the library the last remaining Funky acolytes claimed Mayor Funky was getting back on track.

Recently, the Northland contingent of the City Council gave embattled City Manager Wayne Cauthen the book and only approached the Mayor for cooperation in the last minute. With Cauthen gone Funky's friends and people on his payroll said he was getting back on track.

Now, Mayor Funky is pandering to the far right (in Kansas City) of all places and he's going back on campaign questions which put him against removing the E-tax. He's also ignoring the fact removing the E-tax would cripple KC's already ailing budget and cause complete chaos seemingly hoping that Conservative Activist Rex Sinquefield will bankroll his campaign. Still, if of Sinquefield of St. Louis is silly enough to bankroll Mayor Funky's run . . . He's simply wasting his cash and being willfully ignorant of how (Democrat Controlled) Kansas City politics works in much the same way index funds, which Sinquefiled pretty much invented, ignore the fact that several talented money mangers regularly beat the market.

More to the point . . .

TOUTING CONSERVATIVE CASH FROM SINQUEFIELD FOR A MAYOR FUNKY POLITICAL RENAISSANCE IGNORES THE HORRIBLE DAMAGE THAT SNOW REMOVAL COMPLAINTS HAVE DONE TO THE "CITY THAT WORKS" MAYOR!!!

Mayor Funky's political career was already dead, Kansas City outcry over lackluster snow removal just buried it. Admittedly, snow won't permanently put Mayor Funky's failed tenure out of sight once the Spring arrives. Unfortunately, Kansas City is stuck with a lame duck Co-Mayor who has been the biggest disappointment in Kansas City politics in more than a generation.

So, Mayor Funky's frozen solid political career with little chance of a comeback along with recent frigid temperatures (and newish shots of a bikini-clad Vida Guerra and her top notch backside) have inspired tonight's playlist.
