The KC New Year As Seen by D-Bags
Thankfully, only because safety concerns were voiced by the Kansas City blogosphere en masse . . . The P&L District cash/bribe/throwaway didn't kill anybody.
There's some nice, blurry and probably drunken video of NYE at the P&L District floating around the Internets right now.
Still, I was thinking that the Kansas City Downtown party place that's helping to drive this town broke and some say is supported by rampant discrimination throwing away what is basically taxpayer money to draw an elitist mostly white crowd who, in turn, scurry on the floor for dollar bills like little piglets is probably yet another low point for this cowtown.
Smarter people than TKC are known to say that nothing changes on New Year's Day.

u missed a great party TKC. Too bad.
no the blogosphere en masse, (what a pompous, stupid statement.) did not save kc.
Poor Tony is having a bad New Year.
Learn how to use a camera u drunk fuck, before clogging up YouTube with more shit videos.
you give yourself and your blog to much credit
The "news" people gave the Power and White district a lot of free advertisement. It is really indicative of Kansas City ethics when the "news" gives pitch after pitch to a venue. Obviously I did not attend the "festivities" especially after hearing how cool it was going to be. If a "news" station has to pitch that hard then the owners are worried about the numbers who may not go. I ain't going no place that desperate.
You are so dumb! You had nothing to do with the safety of this even, your complaining is annoying, and worse than your mom's when I leave in the mornings
lolzo
Tony, why would you and some other
Kansas Citians wish ill will or evil upon yourselves and others? Can't we agree to support anything positive in this town? Can you imagine Kansas City without downtown where a number of people have chosen to live and work? Certainly, there is a need for improvement in education, economic development and other areas. If we could get rid of the stinking thinking, maybe we could help make things better for all of us. Problems can be solved but not on blogs. Thank you Cordish for having the nerve to help Kansas City, even though we're losing in so many areas! Happy New Year all!
The money drop went better than expected from what I saw. Quite few brief fights, but people were in general, out of control.
The real drunkfest was at Martini Corner. The $75 "all u can drink" deal resulted in several skirmishes and a lot of puking. As predicted the locale was very busy with around a thousand shitfaced people outside freezing there asses off at 1:30.
Does anyone have WESTPORT, BROOkSIDE and WALDO NEWS from last night?
Those idiots that drank $75 worth in 2-3 hours deserved to freeze while they tried to decide to risk a DUI or not. Thank goodness there were lots of taxis available.
