TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! INSIDERS CLAIM SUSPENDED CITY MANAGER CAUTHEN COULD SUE KANSAS CITY AND WIN!!!

Kansas City's Cauthen hot mess isn't even close to being complete.

While some folks doubt Cauthen's willingness to have his hearing, I hear it's still on and AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS say the Revs from the African-American Community will have their act together with more support this time around. It's important to note that they don't consider last week's media event a waste given that Rev. Micheal Brooks garnered 3 TV news stations and radio coverage simply from his appearance.

More importantly, A KICKASS TKC TIP reveals that City Hall is taking the idea that suspended City Manager Cauthen could sue AND WIN quite seriously.

Here just a few of the reasons behind the fear:

The City Manager escorted out of the building is a big deal. It happens to people all the time at City Hall but a big part of the debate will be the timeline. Mayor Funky stuck his thumb in the better planning by the Northland contingent who orchestrated this deal . . . The main question on the timeline: Did the City Council vote to suspend Cauthen before he escorted out of the building? If not, then there was no authority to walk him out . . . Note: Cauthen might have done his case a disservice in this instance by stubbornly sticking around. It's a big enough question to take to court according to some City Hall insiders.

City Council Lady Jan Marcason's Turnabout Complicates Cauthen's Suspension. The best white lady politico in Brookside gave lots of flowery excuses for her Cauthen suspension complicity but they all neglect one important fact . . .

MARCASON HELPED TO SET UP A REVIEW PROCESS FOR CAUTHEN AND GAVE HIM GOOD MARKS!!!

Sorry, while most working nobodies are fired on a whim . . . Big money players like Cauthen get the luxury of demanding cause for their termination and Marcason's flip-flopping complicates matters.

Cries of secrecy and lack of local government transparency could complicate Kansas City's defense against a possible Cauthen lawsuit. Without question, the Northland Council move against Cauthen was strategic, well planned and carried out effectively minus the constant fumbling of Mayor Funky in his last minute involvement. More on this one later . . . But local courts and juries might be more inclined to be swayed by allegations of a lack of transparency despite the fact that the Missouri political establishment doesn't really care about this issue.

All these legal theories don't mean much because a possible case by Cauthen would never see a courtroom . . . But an additional settlement with the ousted City Manager might be the price Northland Council Members have to pay for their so-called "palace coup."

Most important of all, as this Cauthen drama continues, I contend that the pushback doesn't necessarily signal support for the suspended City Manager but rather it represents the serious cultural, racial and political divisions that exist in local government and throughout Kansas City.

  4. Super coon sues the city? Yawn.....

  5. If they pay Cauthen what his contract calls for, and not a cent more, he has no grounds to sue. Let's all move on.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Or he COULD SUE and NOT WIN!!!!

WHO KNOWS?!!?? He could EAT A 96oz PRIME RIB! In one sitting! He COULD!

  7. This is just posturing for a settlement. Don't take it seriously. He won't sue. If he did he won't win.
This is just another negro trying to get paid.

YES HE CAN! Where have we heard that crock of BS before? Who knows what he'll "win" or won't "win. Whatever happens we can count on three things:

    1) Funk will step in and mess things up and cause more difficulty than necessary (unless Big JEff Roe muzzles him)

    2) Cauthen is going to get a big check.

    3) The Council Titans will also mess things up as they already have by extending his contract in the first place.

The best result... we vote them all out. The probable result... things will go on as they are and the people will get what they pay for. Lambs being led to the slaughter, Boobus Americanus (HL Menken) or a lazy bunch of people who get what they pay for.

  11. Just shoot him. . . please. . . I've had enought of this guy.

  12. Anyone can sue but you must have a case to win. He can't. Give him his hearing and what he is entitled under the contract. Bye bye Wayne. Too bad he didn't have the support he needed this time around. The likes of Terry Riley, Eric Wesson Michael Brooks and Al Brooks just wasn't enough.

  13. None of those guys really care about Wayne losing his job they just did not like the way it was done. City managers come and go. No where has any of them said "Hey give Wayne his job back."You are wrong in yur assumption 4:04

  14. 4:15, you are also wrong that they cared about the way it was done. They don't care about that either because there was absolutley nothing wrong with the way it was done and they know it. This post is Terry Riley talking to Tony again.

  15. Go back to planning cocktail parties Jan - we don't need anymore of your stupidity!

If you could follow through with your campaign "promise" of presenting a plan to repair the illegal sewer system KC would be on the road to complying with federal EPA guidelines for not putting human waste in the drinking water.

However, you are more concerned with trying to keep goose shit off your plaza sidewalks.

Human feces from our sewers mixes in the rainwater - WHERE MOST OF US GET OUR DRINKING WATER - and you are more concerned with not stepping in goose turds all the while causing the city to pay out enormous sums of money to former city employees.

    Worthless...

  16. To 4:34 PM. Who cares about how it was done? Have you ever heard a corpse ask how it got so cold? All that matters is that 7 members of the council made a political decision to change city managers. Don't be fooled. Those misguided lightweights do care about Wayne losing his job and wish he could get it back. They are just too weak to make anything happen. They got beat politically so they whine about process.

  19. 5:28 what cookie jar? what are you talking about? They did a good thing and nobody cares about wayne cauthen. Good riddance and thank you to the 7.

  20. I believe Missouri is an At Will state and no reason has to be given to fire someone, unless they have union representation. Transparency, I did not know that was a legality. I believe that is more of an election year idea...do not think the lack of transparency would hold any water in a lawsuit. Secrecy...they had the votes. No need to discuss it with anyone else. kept the drama to a minimum...ok, maybe not.
