ReplyDeleteI listened to S&P and Darla in and out whining about why people leave KCMO. In part its the SCHOOLS?
Nope. Not the schools. God knows they have fabulous facilities which should have taught everyone that it's not throwing MONEY to make a school distict.
White people flee KCSD because they dont want their kids goign to school with low income, unsophisticated black children who live ony with their working mothers.
Most of those excess KCSD employees are probably security guards!
Swap out the east of Troost kids with the Olathe kids, and KCSD would be the best school district in the state!
Why does KMBZ avoid the obvious. Its cultureal, not the KCSD BOE or the teacher union. Suburban and upscale people just don't want their kids in the same classes as the hip hop, put a cap in yo ass crowd that will be in one of the Mizzouri pens in five years serving time for burglary or assault! Theyre not even motivated enough to be accepted by the ARMY.
Not schools. its black parents. they need to fix that. Where are you ALonzo? Stick your neck out. Tell it like everyone knows it IS but wont' say.
And BZ's continual repetition of the4 white woman voting for Obama for free handouts is both racist and unhelpful. Fact is white men with white hair in pin striped suits are too smart to SAY that on tape, but they LOVE the government and its contracts.
Everybody's in it for what they can get but for some reason upscale people look the other way when their neighbors have their hands out, but they get all indignant with someone across town doing the same thing for HUNDREDS of dollars rather than the MILLIONS that the JOCO set abscond.
Darla actually had it right tonight on that absurdity about putting a park on top of I 470. Tell me. WHO CARES if downtown KCMO flourishes? Let em raize everything from fifth to 12th and turn the whole HILL into a park!
Oh, the loss of land investment? Sacrilige! Make the taxpayers prop up land values north of 18th street.
