The Star Ignores The Local Latino Community For More Than 100 Years!!!
Early this morning throughout the metro local Latinos awoke well before dawn to celebrate of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Latinas on the Westside, Northeast, KCK and so many other places sang Las Mañanitas while giving thanks and praise at around 5 AM today.
UNFORTUNATELY, MARY SANCHEZ IS A SCUMBAG AND THE STAR IS AN ELITIST INSTITUTION UNWILLING TO REPORT A 500 YEAR OLD TRADITION INVOLVING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA!!!
Of course I slept in because this kind of thing just isn't my bag BUT the paper-of-record's constant refusal to cover the event is yet another sign of their cultural elitism, ignorance of what really goes on in this town and yet another sign that local media often fails to offer a real glimpse of life in Kansas City.

I was going to say maybe you had a point but read the post that pointed out that Dos Mundos and KC Hispanid did not observe this either. So...if they do not why should the Star?
They do report it. They are weeklies and not Dailies. Tony's commenters are stupid.
When they start making a positive impact in the city then we'll stop ignoring them.
So you WANT the Star to emphasize the fact that your ancestors were not only easily conquered 500 years ago and threw their native heritage overboard like unwanted ballast, but wrapped their lips around European cock so tightly that to this very day they still believe in Catholic fairy tales?
