This morning I am DELIGHTED to let TKC readers join in on a running joke that's been making the local, online, Latino Community laugh for the past few weeks.

This photo is important and hilarious for quite a few reasons . . . Here are some of my favorite:
Most importantly . . . I just wanted for Jackson County voters to see the kind of dude their tax money is going to help support. He looks naked and tattooed on facebook and seems to be ready for Internet action of any sort so I guess that must mean he's also effective against local crime. I guess.
TKC POINT OF ORDER . . . As I noted previously the dude is a public figure who advocates for many local issues and he published this photo publicly when facebook privacy settings allowed for other methods . . . And because so many fellow Latino leaders and denizens of this city have laughed their ass off when this mug shows up in a fb friend request . . . It is important to display the photo in the context of the many mistakes that the people of JaxCo have made . . . Which includes showing too much skin on the Internets and funding the COMBAT Tax renewal.

I love the blog. Read it everyday. But don't agree with you here. Cordova is in my opinion the only well informed person at Mattie Rhodes. He is 3 levels above Fierro on all issues pertaining to the city. He tells it like it is and doesn't back down to anybody for political points (like Fierro did with Funkhouser).
He is the only person on COMBAT that has the education (PhD) and experience both in Missouri, California and around the country to back it up.
Not only that, but as a former law enforcement officer, Cordova has lived and learned from the community and the youth of the community today. He is the only person on COMBAT that actually has a clue.
So why attack him of all people?
