Crappy Kansas City TV: The Fountains

Just stumbled upon a local version of "The Hills" going by the moniker: "The Fountains." I won't say it's vapid, self-indulgent tripe . . . It just looks that way. The pilot episode looks as if the effort will focus on the lives to 20-something broads who seemingly hang out in metro bars all the time. I think there are 4 lines of dialogue, all improvised. It's a documentary, excuse me REALITY SHOW featuring cowtown club hoppers who need to lose 30lbs to even come close to competing on mainstream TV . . . Possibly??? Maybe the show has potential, I would definitely watch the date rape episode but other than that it looks like fellow Communication Studies graduates struggling with too much time on their hands. Maybe they should start a blog.

Hold up . . . Episode 2 is even worse better!!! There's more talking and less contemporary soft pop soundtrack. So that's what it looks like when 29 year-old broads are horribly terrified about losing their looks. Now I know.

There's no way that it's as contrived and predictable as The Unreal Housewives of Kansas City.

I might watch more than 30 seconds had the women been hot. Has the creator never watched a reality show?!? You gotta have some talent.
