TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MAYOR FUNKY'S STUBBORNNESS HOLDING UP MAMMYGATE SETTLEMENT!!!
We're now just weeks away from the Mammygate trial. Here's the latest news regarding the progress of the lawsuit:
AN AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS WITH CONNECTIONS TO THE CITY COUNCIL SAYS THAT KANSAS CITY COULD SAVE BIG MONEY IF MAYOR FUNKY WOULD SIMPLY PUBLICLY APPROVE A SETTLEMENT WITHOUT ADMITTING GUILT!!!
Remember that Kansas City is not only on the hook for the Mammygate mess but Mayor Funky made the whole thing worse by insulting the victim of "Mammy" slur when he thought a settlement was on the table. Still, a settlement would likely include both instances of Mayoral misconduct and could finally make this mess go away.
What's the problem? Politically, this is a hot potato and The City Council does not feel that it deserves to take the heat for the misguided statements of Gloria Squitiro and Mayor Funky . . . A statement by Funkhouser advising the Council to make an offer is the only thing that stands between Kansas City closing this case before risking millions of dollars by way of jury decision.
Make no mistake . . . Wirken is good but he's a settlement lawyer and his defenses of foot massages and Mayoral bathroom time don't seem to be convincing.
There are a lot of people thinking that this thing will be settled, unfortunately Mayor Funky would actually have to stand up and show some leadership here . . . So far he hasn't done that yet as Mayor.

If Ruth Bates gets $2 million then I think both the Council and Mayor should resign.

He can not go to court. He will expose (EWWWW!) his family to unwanted publicity. He does not want the discovery items brought into court. They lead to nepotism, but he can not resign as he needs every damn dime he can get his hands on. The bastard is stuck. He will end up in court, then he will be charged with nepotism. That will result in immediate removal from office.
No way should the EEOC plaintiff settle. She will get way more in court and Kansas City will get the bastard mayor and his slutty wife out. Sure the bill will be high, we are paying for their lack of good upbringing right now. Hello Ed Wolf, you are not out of it yet!
