TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TALK OF POLITICAL PRESSURE AND A DELAY IN THE RELEASE OF KANSAS CITY CRIME STATISTICS!!!

The subject of local crime stats might soon (yet again) become another controversy in this cowtown. Let's not forget that the KCPD took a lot of flack not so long ago for a failure to report accurate crime statistics.

Looks like recent history could repeat itself once again.

Check out this message from a KICKASS TKC TIPSTER:
The city's politicos are putting police under massive pressure to avoid releasing for as long as possible any statistics about crime in KCMO in 2009--as you know, the year is half over and the KCPD still has not released the stats for the first quarter of 2009--and in 2008 it took them until the end of Feb. 2009 to release the 2008 annual report--and, that annual report, when released was a model of what I learned how to do in my MIT statistics courses: ie, lie with statistics. Apparently the city politicos want any reports on crime statistics to be as misleading as possible to keep covered up the ugly reality that crime in the city's Black neighborhoods has exploded in the past 14 months.
There's talk that violent crime of all sorts is exploding on the Eastside. This is at a time when the rest of the nation is enjoying a downward spiral in crime numbers. Sadly, violence and unrest seems to be the only place where this town is providing leadership.
