ReplyDeleteI work at the Plaza, Tony. At most, there were no more than 25 people "mobilized" at one time ... and that includes the awesome "tipster" who rolled out of bed at 1 pm, downed a Nutty Ho-Ho (or 60), scraped the excess chocolate off of his camouflage shorts, then snapped off a handful of photos before passing out from a sugar coma.
The LGBT "community" consists of one person who actually does something for the community - Jolie Justus. The rest? Hanger-ons, flunkies, twisties, publicity whores, regular whores ... and dedicated readers of TKC.
Really, Lorraine? PROMO, which got people to write the leadership of Kansas City and get them to reverse the stripping of domestic partner rights for the KCPD, has never done anything for the community? The Crisis Hotline, which has gotten resources to people, including those who were considering suicide, has never done anything for the community? These are not groups I'm all that involved with, but they're just two examples.
ReplyDeleteAs for your first paragraph, it was very witty, and we're all quite impressed. That said, I'd love to see you mobilize 25 (though I'd contend there were far more than that, at least 50, but I didn't get a count) in six hours.
Glad to see that Justus and that ugly woman she hangs with decided to stop by Kansas City.

ReplyDeleteI do not recall seeing this many people protesting when 70% of Missourians voted against same sex marriage. I also do not recall the protests when Kansas went over 70 30 for traditional marriage. Why do the rainbow flags come out for California same sex marriage. This is baffling to me. Please Tony, explain this social phenomenon.
