Here's a bit of inside info: The cover from this issue was (sort of) featured in a report on the recent protests in Kansas City over Prop 8 . . . Unfortunately, KMBC failed to note the name of the magazine which would have never happened if it was The Call, The Star, Ingram's or any other publication in Kansas City . . . So, some contend (and I agree) this story about discrimination against the LGBT community featured a bit of its own.
