Your take on Uncle Ed Muscare and his videos? God, I worshipped him when he did All Night Live on KSHB in the 1980s. He was truly brilliant, on a par with Pee Wee Herman or Ernie Kovacs in terms of pure innovation and understanding the medium.
Now? Seems like a fine line between comic genius and being a crazy old man.
I am troubled and saddened. But his new videos seem to have a sort of pathos to them that I'm not sure is intended.
It's hard when the curtain gets thrown back on our heroes.
