Just about everyone I talked to at the Kansas City School District Superintendent forum last night said it was an overwhelming disappointment. BOTH candidates are run of the mill politicos who aren't going to create much change . . . Meanwhile, local news isn't reporting that attendance was dismal . . . There was a MUCH bigger turnout when the public interviewed Amato for the job.

ReplyDeleteAirick has already bored me to death with his six part series on what needs to be done to fix the schools. While I appreciate his enthusiasm, he offers words without substance. Airik needs to realize that the next Nobel Laureate will not be coming from KCMOSD no matter how many euphemisms he substitutes for the word "student". These kids are mostly thugs, not scholars. Let's stop living in a dream world and realize that these kids need any kind of job skills that can be taught.
