It's on you small publishers

Bottom Line Communications reports that The Star is giving up on Neighborhood News . . . Unfortunately, this is the first I've heard of them experimenting with it at all.

  1. I thought the BLC guy was giving up on blogging or whatever he did (which was blogging).

  2. Newspapers like Northeast News, Wednesday Sun and few others to it better than the Star, and they're distributed free of charge.

Then there are other community newspapers for specific groups in the community, also distributed free.

Revenue for these publications comes from advertising, not circulation revenue.

The paid circulation newspaper model is quickly going the way of the albatross.
