KMBC Reports: Kansas City appears to be in the running for an electric vehicle assembly plant, which has the potential to bring new jobs and new technology to the metro area . . . Provided, of course, that people enjoy driving 28 miles an hour everywhere and don't mind powering up their car for 17 hours at a time.

Very cool, very fast.
We need the industry in this area, and besides, your average KC area worker does not driev that far on a daily basis. Unless you live in the sticks, or go on raod trips a lot, internal combustion is dead.
That was a great put-down of electric cars, especially when I heard it 20 years ago.
