Darla Jaye Protests Dennis Moore!!!

Damn, it was a big weekend for KMBZ's Darla Jaye.

Not only did the Queen of KC Talk Radio make a list of top talkers in the nation . . . An honor that she alone earned in all of Kansas City . . .

But a protest rally she led over the weekend had an AMAZING TURNOUT!!!

Of course, with every political rally . . . There's always going to be a dispute about the numbers . . . But, in terms of attendance, Bottom Line Communications does a great job of noting that Kansas Congressman Dennis Moore was nowhere to be found.

In the final analysis . . . The photos of the event CLEARLY indicate that this was the biggest political rally in the Kansas City area over the weekend (for a couple of months actually) and it drew a great many (usually dazed and confused) suburbanites into the cold streets . . . Motivating those people to do anything that doesn't involve American Idol is an achievement in and of itself. Furthermore, if rumors of Moore running for Governor upon the departure of Sebelius to the Washington Obama Brigade . . . Then I guess the guy is going to have to grow accustomed to the mob of angry, loud, conservative Kansans.

    1. Just a couple thoughts. If B-b-b-b-b-b Becka can win, then its like a mail order degree.

If you pay the fee, you win a slot on the list. Somebody said the Weatherman's award is the same kind of thing.

Queen among 250 SMALL MARKET RADIO people isn't a big deal and it doesn't mean Hannities' stink rubs off on her other than her breath.

And as to Moore... well you're right, there's a mob of loyal, angry and loud right wingers out there. Most probably all party faithful or Kewl Laid drinkers who listen to Darla. Lord knows she worked hard to turn out that crowd!

It wasn't that big a crowd...and wondering if it was mostly a social event on a slow day?

Media creating something to talk about on a slow day.

    3. I love how the Red Star contributed an entire paragraph to this event.

Oh, and there was more than 200-300 people there, like it stated.

      Amazing.

    5. He'd write a kiss ass commentary on a Minute Man member if they had a radio show and made him a regular guest.

He's a publicity whore...he and Darla were meant for one another.

    6. If Moore was nowhere to be found, perhaps it was because he was in Washington doing his job?

BTW looks like about 100 in the photos, maybe 200 tops.

    7. Darly J is stupid, she should go protest the improvements being made to hwy 69 in the Golden Ghetto/ JOCO with that stimulus bill. The JOCO tunnel to nowhere will go somewhere because Moore voted for the stim. bill.

TKC linked to the story early. Maybe Darla J can go protest against the building of that hwy too. After she's done giving TKC his hand job.

    9. what bullshit. why didn't the star offer more coverage? they don't like it when republicans show that they take part in politics at the grass roots level.

    10. Just 100 rich people who want more tax cuts that's all.

    11. More like about 300 people that are tired of being "taken" by the libs. I was there and it wasn't a social event or to support Darla Jaye. I moved here a few months ago and I attended because I'm fed up with it. Have you seen what the stimulus has done to the stock market?! The icing on the cake was that my voter registration card was in the mail when I got back from the protest.

    12. Yea, we need to get the conservs back in charge cause they really made the stock market soar and the economy roar....damn libs

    13. Stock market at it's lowest point since 1997. Hmmm... who was President at that time? Oh, gee, it was Bill Clinton.

    19. Let me help you understand. I wasn't registered to vote in the State of Kansas because I lived in a different state. You can be sure, though, that I was registered and did, indeed, vote. I moved to Kansas for a job. Like many others I was caught up in a corporate merger and my position was eliminated. I had a choice to make. Uproot my family so that I could provide for them or lose my job and take the lib approach of living off the government (all the while feeling sorry for myself). I chose personal responsibility. My point about getting my voter registration is that Mr. Moore has one more voice and one more vote to contend with.
