Some douche decided to Spam attack me today . . . From about 11:00 to 12:15 TKC endured a pretty intense denial of service attack.
I sent him packing with a quickness (I also have his I.P. number that I'm sending to his host) but for the moment he ruined the fun of some of my annoy commenters.
Never fear. Instead of requiring anybody sign up for anything . . . I'm simply going to moderate comments for awhile . . . And by moderate mean that I'm just going to use a filter that removes Spam.
As usual, TKC is a place for free speech so feel free to type "whatever you like" to quote this damn T.I. post that I can't get out of my head.
Unfortunately, there will be a little delay so conversation will be horribly slow on the blog for just a bit . . . However, your comments are ALWAYS welcome . . . And it's clear that a few spammers weren't able to debate or defeat my wicked satire or the ideas expressed on this blog so they simply resorted to mindless attacks intended to silence TKC.
Something is wrong at Meesha's site, too. Same spammer, maybe?

So was it a comment spam attack or a denial of service attack? Because those are two completely different things.
ReplyDeleteThe former happens to just about any blogger from time to time and is easy to stop. The latter would leave you crippled and unable to do anything without a phone call to your own host.
When you know what you are talking about, let us know.
