TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! CITY HALL BUDGET DEFICIT OVERBLOWN!!! COUNCIL LADY DEB HERMANN BEING BLAMED!!!
Councilwoman Deb Hermann is the chairwoman of the Finance and Audit Committee.
Not too long ago, like a typical broad, she crazily ran to the media screaming like a banshee about a budget deficit she had estimated at close to $80 million dollars.
Unfortunately . . .
A GREAT MANY CITY HALL DENIZENS ARE COMPLAINING THAT HERMANN IS PLAYING POLITICAL GAMES WITH THE NUMBERS IN HER EFFORT TO GET WAYNE CAUTHEN FIRED AND SHE'S ACTUALLY JUST PROVIDING PRO FORMA INFORMATION TO THE PRESS!!!
Put simply . . .
THE REAL CITY HALL BUDGET DEFICIT IS MUCH LESS!!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of any budget deficit but I did notice that only TV news picked up on the $80 mil story and those dudes aren't known for asking a lot of questions . . .
City Hall insiders say that Hermann was making her projections based on huge wish lists from every corner of City Hall in order to create a crisis that would further embarrass her adversary Cauthen. Mayor Funky's people quickly picked up the opportunity and started to bash Cauthen as well despite the fact that any budget crisis reflects on poorly on Mayor Funky's leadership too.
What's lost in all of these political games is this:
REAL PEOPLE AND SERVICES COULD BE CUT BECAUSE OF THE POLITICAL GAMES BEING PLAYED WITH KANSAS CITY BUDGET NUMBERS!!!
I just got off the phone with a very well-informed City Hall Source who put it plainly:
"The ability of City Hall to provide accurate financial numbers and data is seriously in question. Failure to produce credible information is a mark against good local government."
Fact is: KC is facing budget problems. However, there are a great many people in City Hall that can see through the politics of the situation and are more concerned with jobs and services provided to Kansas City rather than the parlor games of the elected officals. TKC hears that new numbers that are far more conservative are on the way as Council Lady Hermann is facing a backlash for her alleged "creative" projections regarding Kansas City finances.

Hermann is hated at City Hall and that makes me like her even more.

Cauthen's staff gave the council the $80 million number. It's all on Channel 2 if you would bother to listen to someone other than than your so-called sources. Hermann is using Cauthen's own figure against him.
And that's as made up as you can get.

Wayne Cauthen is incompetent and never should have been hired in the first place. He is unable to hire qualified Department Directors and the City has suffered as a result. He is a joke. Buy out his contract and get him out of here before he does anymore damage.

You could fire half of the pinheads at City Hall and not miss a beat. That would leave the street crews and water crews and the laborers/fire/police the same.
The City is a city that doesn't work because it has too many redundant admin assistants, department heads, division heads, and accountants.
the city hasnt change i was told that i was a trouble maker but when i left the employees have told me that it wasnt me it was the system. going back when kkay hired wayne to be her henchman and so on the city is the only place where you have 2 supervisors for every worker
"2 supervisors for every worker"? i work for the city, and run a division. I have 27 employees and only 2 supervisors. That's become the norm in the City. It's false perceptions like yours that spurred the last witch hunt, and will spur the next one.
Two supervisors for every manager? Now, there's no waste there, is there. Sounds like one manager should be able to run two divisions. So, what do you do as head of the division while your supervisor's are supervising... wasting taxpayer's dollars posting on this spic's blog.
