Does it bother anyone that a non-profit is promoting by endorsement the light rail campaign. Seems that the Economic Development Council endorsed the light rail. Why is that problematic? The EDC exists because of the City of Kansas City Missouri. Now we have politicans like Rus JOhnson asking for a rigged endorsement from a non profit corporation that is beholding to the city for its power and money. Same reason that CAN centers like Northland Neighborhoods Inc should be kept from political activity. But they are venturing out into outright helping the council sell an election.
I got to see Northland neighborhoods "Political" attitude in action. The opponents of the Lite Rail proposal asked to be given equal time with the proponents. The proponents got a meeting and so one was scheduled --but NO advertise and when the very most revered Mr. Rice was asked about it he got real upset. One thing about politics Payback is Hell.
What are you people talking about? Lightrail means we spend more on drinking and less on DUI charges if you live either downtown or on the Plaza. Wait... no one lives downtown? Oh, never mind.
Why don't we run the starter line right up Funky's ass, for all the good it would do.
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact, let's do exactly that on Tuesday by voting NO! on light rail.
