THE KANSAS CITY STAR COVERS MAYOR FUNKY'S NEW HOME OFFICE!!!

Anonymous inafunkaboutthefunk said...

I wonder what fate the Funk has in store for Schmendrick Blackwood's truthfulness in conceding that the Gruesome Twosome now work from home? Does seem like Smart With Nothinghouser intends to answer the reporters questions and fess up to this rather odd behavior.

Meanwhile, he's a joke and she's a
joke.

The joke is really on us regular citizens though.

Let us remember who bought the Office of Mayor for Lurch in the first place: James B. Nutter Sr.

Like a maladjusted child who has had his way far too many times in his life, Markie just refuses to use the office that Nutter bought him. And now like a big, spoiled, baby Markie is stomping his feet, pouting and refusing to play outside because he can't bring his ratty, stain-covered, smelly, old security blanket to school. What's next Markie? Inappropriate urination behavior?

We have James B. Nutter Sr. to thank for this ongoing embarrassment to the city. If not for James B. Nutter Sr., his swollen bank accounts and his numerous secret campaign accounts created to undermine statutory transparency, Mark Funkhouser would be an adjunct professor at some fourth rate college earning poor student evaluations by now.

Thank you James B. Nutter Sr. for showing the bad judgment to put Mark Funkhouser in office. The city is paying for Nutter's folly every day through pain and humiliation, like a reverse mortgage made in Hell.

Some judge should take the old codger's checkbook away from him before he hurts himself or others again. Nutter is just too old to make his own decisions anymore and he has surrounded himself with ass kissers who will not tell the old, long-winded bastard when to shut up, go home and take up a hobby.

Hey, Nutter meant well when he chose to support the Funk over the nice, civic minded but hapless Al Brooks. Who could have possibly imagined that we would get the narcissistic, hateful clueless and just plain stupid Mark Funkhouser. The truth is that no one could have... just like (and here I go tempting fate) no one could have imagined that Sadam didn't have weapons of mass destruction.

We are going to survive George Bush and the Iraq War. The Jews survived the Holocaust. And the regular ciziens of Kansas City Missouri will survive Mayor Smart With Nothinghouser and the Squid... embarassment, incapable of providing leadership in these especially difficult times and otherwise clueless disruptive divisive and useless as they are.

Nutter originally backed Jim Glover. Funk at the time appeared to be the lesser of two evils so Nutter paid, er I mean supported Funkhouser.

You're right about one thing. The guy is 80 years old. He won't even live to see light rail if it passes. One good flu season and we won't have to hear from Nutter and his NIMBYism anymore.

I like how you tools try to blame Nutter for placing the Funk in office. The voters are the ones who made the mistake. They are to blame. This just shows that if you want to make a change, you have to get your ass out and vote.

Mr. Nutter has become recently the target of attacks by certain vested interest groups. J. B. Nutter's record of giving back to this community speaks for itself.

J.B. Nutter has helped this town with public policy issues like the Street Light expansion. Over the years Mr. Nutter has emphasized basic services, such as maintenance of curbs, sidewalks, streets, sewers and schools. He has been concerned with our neighborhoods and how the city maintaines them. Give me a man like Nutter any day to the attack artists turned loose by the Gray political machine.

Thank God, this man at least uses his financial success to help inform the public on issues. Nutter has made a living putting people in houses not in putting candidates in office. You don't see him sleeking around the 24th or 29th floors at city hall.

There is way too much influence coming from the law firms in this town who have unfettered access to the council and the mayor. Look at the amount money law firms are giving to light rail or to council campaigns.

My father told me that you can judge the character of a man by the enemies he makes. By that standard, Mr. Nutter is a man of outstanding character. I wish this city had more J. B. Nutters.

This isn't about Nutter.

It's about Funkhouser.

Nobody could have predicted his craziness. He is the biggest dissappointment this town has ever seen.

We'll all be happy to see him go.

Anon. 10:50 has it right. It is not about Nutter. So why the attacks on Nutter. We can not recall Nutter. But perhaps we can recall Mark Funkhouser. Or at least get him some much needed intervention.

wait until one of his staffers has a car accident running to his FunkNutters' Brook side home.

Some one with a lot of time should:

1)is funk's house zoned for "business use" commercial office??

2)is there a covenant on his land restricting his house to a single family dwelling..

Time to stop have a prick for Mayor.

Is there anybody left who supports the guy?

I think not.

He's too stubborn to see his own mistakes and now he's not answering any questions about his wife.

Time to go Funk if you can't handle the heat.

Embarrasing once was the word to describe what the mayor has done to the city, but now the situation has gone well beyond that definition. Would humiliating be a better word? Webster defines humiliating: estremely destructive to one's self-respect or dignity.

Does anyone else have a descriptive word for this?

Funky

10/31/2008 12:31:00 PM
Anonymous Definition said...

We have just expanded the American English language by adding the word "funky". It means humiliation to a city or political unit as the direct result of an elected officials bizzar behaviors. There will be variations on this word by parts of speach. Example: John Doe, Mayor of Hometown, has funked us again.

Nutter pays people to sleek "around the 24th or 29th floors at city hall" and according to Gloria, who is friends with my wife, Nutter "expects everyone to come to his office and listen to his stories that go on forever." Gloria used to have to call Funkhouser with fake emergencies at pre-agreed on times in order to get the Mayor out of Nutter's filthy office. The place smells like "an old man who does not wash or shave on a regular basis."

The Funkhousers are fed up with Nutter and his pressure against public transportation, so they have told him that his support is no longer welcome.

How would you have any idea inafunk? At least have of the voters of this city knew Funkhouser was not the right guy from the start and you were not in that half. You proved your lack of wisdom and analytical ability. Indeed, you were the moron.

At least J.B. Nutter still goes to his office. Where is the Funk? Hunkered down in his Brookside house, receiving non-public guests.

Enough of this attacking the mayor. He and Gloria have a vision for this city. The Urban Train is just part of it. Gloria is a symbol of how women all over this country can influence policies and public opinion. She stands by her man and he has come home from city hall to show his support of her.
