The best thing to do is to vote NO! against light rail on Tuesday.
Send the mayor a strong message that we don't like his cockamamie plan, we don't like how he has sullied the office, and we don't much like him.

I am voting NO. Not so much to send this guy a message as to send the council a message. The Union Station is not on the route. It doesn't go to the airport.
I am not for a 25-year tax increase for a bad plan. To raise to 10% the sales tax on hotels and entertainment and food is bad for tourism and bad for locals.
We are going to loose jobs in this city with the recession. Why add to the cost of doing business in KCMO?
I already voted aginst light rail. I am a city employee, and under better circumstances(i.e. better leadership) I'd be in favor...but not with these clowns. KC has other, more pressing and more costly needs. Vote no.
If Jan Marcason had only had the guts to take the Mayor on directly rather than play this game built around volunteers in a certain place, this embarrassment would be over by now.
File a complaint under the nepotism law and rid the city of Funkhouser and the witch.
PS I wonder what Auditor Funkhouser would have said about Barnes or Cleaver operating out of their homes -- or whether he did say something? A paper trail is a wonderful thing.

Stop and think people! The mayor is giving us direction on light rail and on how to fight city hall. You can't fighted from within, you have to do it from Brookside or northland ect. The mayor is leading us with his committment to light rail. With a good woman at his side, Gloria, he can take on the nay sayers and politicos. We have to get behind him and vote yes for the train. Have faith. Dream. The future is not with the City of Fountains but the City of Light Rail.
