71 Highway gets even more screwed up
NBC Action News Reports big changes ahead for the already perilous local route: "Crews will close various lanes of southbound Route 71 between Blue Ridge Boulevard and 155th Street on Saturday. They will place barriers and restripe the road to reroute traffic. When the pattern change is complete, northbound and southbound traffic will share the current northbound lanes and be restricted to 2 lanes in each direction. The new pattern will remain in place for the next 18 months to allow for removal and replacement of the Route 71 bridge at Route 150"

Guess I'll go south again in 18 months - or in several years, which is probably the REAL time estimate.

I have no choice since I live off the 150 exit. several years is probably right. Given how bad traffic is NOW I may have to sleep at the shop most days because I will never be able to get home.
