Suspicious weekend sword shooting

Over the weekend, the KCPD capped a guy brandishing a sword.
Ordinarily, that kind of thing would be a pretty clean shooting.
But neighbors are raising a ruckus and cries of "overkill" are being heard among people who knew the (crazy ass) guy.
Most of the complaints center around the number of rounds fired the suspect.
A VERY TRUSTWORTHY (AND CONFIDENTIAL) TKC TIPSTER SAYS THAT WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT POLICE KEPT ON SHOOTING THE MAN AFTER HE WAS DOWN ON THE GROUND!!!
Hopefully, more of these details will come to light despite the fact that it's very hard to stick up for somebody roaming the streets with a sword.
Check out the following links for follow-up on the story:

Never bring a knife to a gunfight!!
Overkill my ass, how about the drive by shooters loosing off a whole magazine or two. Without aiming no less. I think the cops were justified.
Yeah, he wasn't pregnant so all is fair.
8:04 - were you there? I was. The police shot down a middle aged man like a dog after he had dropped his weapon. His mother (a woman in her 90's) had to see her son die in the street.
09:13 you left out the part about him FUCKING SWINGING A SWORD AT THE OFFICERS!.
Should they just shoot to "wing him" at that point?
I will tell you 9:13, swinging any kind of weapon around at a police officer is a good way to meet your maker. I am sure he dropped the sword, after the police tagged his ass. You people blame the police for all of YOUR faults.
Was this the guy who was walking around Midtown for the last month in the pseudo Arabic pirate pajamas and lots of jewelry? He has been threatening people all over the place.
I don't know but I kind of hope that it was that guy. His body odor was really starting to annoy me.
No, Marvin was not that guy. He was an otherwise gentle and quiet young man who had some problems.
