Phony Funkhouser efforts at economic development didn't draw anybody but the people on his payroll and neighborhood activists desperate to be heard by anybody. Sadly, not a single person looking to invest in blighted areas of Kansas City. Check it:

It's embarrasing to see the Mayor fail so badly, but what do you expect?
ReplyDeleteHe is the anti-business Mayor and he ran off investors looking to put their money in downtown. Why would these people want to put their cash in even worse real estate?
In these tough economic times we have a mayor that has no experience in private industry and no concept of how it works.
I heard there were five hundred chairs set up but only five people to sit in them at the post-tour concert by Brother Daniel, counting the Mayor and his wife. Tony, please confirm if this is true? Who paid for this fiasco?
