There is some
interesting and enthusiastic analysis over at Arrowhead Pride, Kansas City's best Chief's blog, regarding yesterday's victory.
However, I'd like to dwell on the negative.
Here's what I noticed about the game:
Only Kansas City could make an end to the longest losing streak in franchise history a cause for celebration.
Larry Johnson will never fulfill his potential.
This might have been the sloppiest game played at Arrowhead . . . And that includes the Wizards.
Think about it . . . This only sets up a late season defeat by the Broncos that's going to be really embarrasing.
Anybody get a look at all of the empty seats? I sure hope that Wall Street Bailout works because there just wasn't enough of a crowd in this town for NASCAR and Football . . . Real contests of consequence are played by old, rich white people in suits . . . Grow up.
On the other hand, I guess any victory is nice no matter how ugly . . . Remember that phrase because it will be a mantra for the Chiefs during what they're once again calling a "rebuilding" year.
I was at the game, Tony. Were you?
Probably not.
If you had been, you would have seen that, except for some rows in the extreme upper deck, the stands were pretty full.
They cleared out a little in the second half, but half-empty?
C'mon, pal. Play fair.
You really are a miserable man.
So this is the reality --remember when we were told to VOTE for the Stadiums and things would be great the teams would win and the crowds would fill the stands and everybody would be happy. Well none of that was true. We got what we deserve. Lousy teams and a half empty stadium because the owners got greedy.
