An effort that started in San Francisco in order to greenmail small businesses into being more environmentally friendly is now in Kansas City.

The bottom line is that they want to make Kansas City businesses make environmentally responsible . . . And while this kind of thing might have worked wonders in San Francisco, all of the successful Kansas City businesses that I've seen have stayed afloat by ignoring pain-in-the-ass customers and instead relying on the fact that this town values expediency above all else and most people around here don't like cooperating with do-gooders even if it doesn't really cost them a dime.
So, I wish the carrot mob good luck but I'm guessing that global warming doesn't scare the people of Kansas City as much as the prospect of changing their routine.
I'm glad to see support like this popping up for CarrotMob KC. I'm hoping there's enough support for this event to start an event up north, where I live.
