KANSAS CITY SHIT STORM!!!
Okay, I didn't really blog the rain earlier because I didn't think it was a big deal.
Once again, I was wrong but mostly because my basement was dry . . . Thank you God.
A KICKASS TKC TIPSTER tells me that City Hall was FLOODED with calls this afternoon about basements overrun with water and sewage . . . Another TKC Tipster (thanks guys) tells me that THE SITUATION IS SO DESPERATE THAT KANSAS CITY IS LOOKING AT IT AS A PUBLIC HEALTH PROBLEM!!!
That makes sense considering that backed up sewage isn't something that the average home owner is prepared to deal with . . . Meanwhile, I hear that light rail is making a lot of progress and the debate and extending the starter line is really important!!! Never mind all of the other shit Kansas City should deal with first.

I think it's funny too that the Police had no money for more officers but found $4 million for new radios. I think the whole thing boils down to "shit ain't glamorous."

We really need that light rail more than sewers fixed. Vote for light rail tell the feds we opt for shit in the basement and light rail to the plaza.
I spent the day dealing with an elderly aunt's flooded basement. The heavy rain somehow got into the sanitary sewers and backed up into basements in her neighborhood. The neighbors had been told that this was an act of God. Light Rail is more important than is public health.
Meanwhile, speaking of shit spewing everywhere, your so-called "tipsters" completely miss the Funk-Bates settlement.

I don't think the tipsters missed it so much as it being a timing thing. How can they find time to send Tony hot tips and still scrub the grill at the local Steak n Shake?
A bigger issue: The settlement means Tony just lost 60 percent of his content. Maybe he can go back to talking about hard-working Latinos (they really exist?) or using "anyhoo" with every other story (instead of every third).
So they want to settle, why would innocent people want to settle? Since the agreement has not been reached and won't include Gloria, I can see this being interesting for quite awhile.
