Granted, David Cook is probably going to win American Idol.

Does it matter?

No. Not only is the win tainted by the fact that viewers of the show are leaving en masse but also because it's kind of tragic fate that this cowtown's contestant is the star of the season when the formerly highly rated show went into "Titanic" mode.

Let's call it a "Kansas City Victory" i.e. nobody cares.
