Tomorrow Mayor Funky will formally announce his effort to make Kansas City a "Platinum" designated Bicycle Friendly Community!!!
Sadly, meaningless press conferences are what this Mayor seems to do best.
Last week there were half a dozen murders in Kansas City and the word crime was only mentioned once in a blog post defending Mayor Funkhouser's decision to cut funds for more police officers on Kansas City streets.
This effort to pander to Kansas City cyclists is merely the latest example of Mayor Funky's messed up priorities. He's courting a small cadre of middle-class, predominantly white self-indulgent hobbyists who dabble in politics while ignoring most of the Eastside and the urban core - Where his approval ratings are at record lows.
A SPECIAL THANKS to the tipster sent me a press release informing all of KC that the Mayor will waste time tomorrow to honor cyclists.

I don't have Twitter but I thought I'd let you all know I've been listening to the new Goldfrapp album lately. I think she's really silenced the critics this time.
Let me bike my way there tomorrow. Sounds like a good time and useful! If I move fast enough I can dodge incoming. Did Joe Miller organize this extravaganza? Hear he's reduced to writing proclamations. And has something to do with boards and commissions? Wonder if he gets the current mayor to not re-seat Fuzzy Thompson on the Human Rights Commission. He probably thinks it would be good PR to show how manly the mayor is and pay back time for the SCLC convention. Plus the mayor has to play to his base. Man, the mayor and jerks keep digging into the shit pile. Soon they will reduce Ms. Bates to clerical staff for her audacity at standing up to the racist slurs and crap in the mayor's foul office. Well, we'll see. Thursday at noon in city hall is the Human Rights meeting. Should be interesting.

Screw the bikes, get out of the way. I shouated down a scumbag running for Sherriff named Mike Sharpe who favored special treatment for these assholes. I think people need to stand up to this kind of thing.
I like Bike Brand best because of the extra up lift. I tried the others and they have a strange cup that rubs wrong. If everyone had a Bike we would have a lot more happy people in this city and a lot more support. If Funky likes Bike lets make a law that NO Bike No Shoes No service. I think that riding in your Bike is great and we shoud support trails.
