Kansas City's e-tax opportunity!!!

My well-connected, financial analyst source working with great interest in affairs at City Hall recently gave me some more information about the upcoming (clandestine) initiative to raise Kansas City's earning tax.
It seems that the powers that be have been crunching the numbers and raising Kansas City's e-tax even a quarter point to 1.25% could generate nearly $100 million worth of revenue!!!
That's nothing to sneeze at and part of the reason that City Officials are moving so slowly to put this initiative together . . . The higher e-tax on the horizon could be one of the few moves that could bring the City Council together . . . Mayor Funky's people are once again caught with their pants down given that they're mostly out of the loop in this discussion . . . Still, the back channels from KC to Jeff City know that the move is coming and it's one of the few steps that would not only put a progressive tax on suburban interlopers but also secure KC's bond rating which has been in significant danger of being downgraded in recent years.
And while TKC hates new taxes . . . I'm glad to let report this EXCLUSIVE info to KC and at least warn folks what's on the horizon . . . Other than a depression, of course.

TKC needs to ask his source when the etax will start collecting all of the 1% from all of the ball players. The way I hear it they only pay if they play in Missouri. They DO NOT PAY when they play out of town. that is sort of like when an architect designs a building for someone in Dallas and then thinks that because the fee originated from out of town that they do not have to pay. Better check on HNTB and BNIM see if they pay. How about the doctors and lawyers that use our hospitals and court rooms and then do not pay e tax because they send the bill and collect the money in Kansas. The loop holes that exist need to be closed before the tax is raised.
Attorneys are only taxed based on where their offices are located. In essence, they do pay a fee to utilize Kansas City Courts in the form of filing fees. I don't perceive that as a loop hole. If a businessman in Lenexa travels to Kansas City to meet with a client and secures their business should they have to pay the 1% based on that transaction?

So is your pay day loan store manager cutting you some slack on your 400% interest rate so he can see his silly tips on the IntraWebs? Hmmm?
Lets make the Chiefs and Royal players has the same fringe benefits as the working class who pays the e tax.
If a lawyer is using court facilities in Missouri to earn his living in Kansas. He should pay in Missouri. Maybe we should buy our concert tickets in Kansas for concerts in Missouri and the entertainers won't have to pay for preforming in Missouri.

Not only that, Tony, but it would prompt me to finally move the fuck out of this town and get a job in Kansas, where the roads and schools are already nice, the crime is low, and I'm just a drive away from all the silly redevelopment you morons keep throwing your votes and money at.
Really Space Cadet? Raising the E-Tax from 1 % to 1.25% will finally convince you to move out of Kansas City, MO? So IF you made 100K, increasing your taxes by $250 a year will convinces you to pack up and get the fuck out? Tell you what. I'll give you $250 to pack up and get the fuck out how does that sound? Wow you really are a space cadet.
