The TKC Saturday Night Playlist: Fear of Black Jesus and Happy Easter from local blogs

Strangely, tonight's playlist is composed almost entirely of music by white people but I like the title nevertheless.
Rather than post my own hackneyed comments regarding the fact that I've always thought Jesus was Black but He could have been Muslim for all I know . . . I've decided to share some of my favorite posts from the local blogosphere wishing everyone a Happy Easter.
Here goes:
AKCB recently published a satisfying Happy Easter message!!!
Then there was a Happy Easer Peep Show from Relentlessly Optimistic.
Hip Suburban White Guy shares a few Easter cartoons!!!
And, I think a Topeka library has the right spirit as they recently displayed a drawing of Jesus by convicted killer Perry Smith of "In Cold Blood" fame.
Still, the thing I've always loved about living in the Midwest is that there are many representations of the Big JC . . . From the forelorn, beaten and bloodied sad Catholic Jesus to the triumphant version the Evangelicals tout to other "takes" on the Son of Man:

It's all good, very much like tonight's playlist brought to you by Seeqpod and hosted by remote servers around the world (not me):
Thank you for reading this week. Have a safe and fun Saturday Night. God Bless.

Nice song by the Vaselines, the rest is shit though
Actually, Tony, the Violent Femmes version of this song is the ONE that rocks the Casbah. I've heard them do it twice in concert and it just kicks the ass out of everything...Just sayin....
I guess I can call a truce for today.
Happy Easter Tony.
