Kansas City's Socialist Studios

Socialist Studios is looking to organize filmmakers from Kansas City to Lawrence in a way that seems a bit flashier than what the IFC is doing. Already they have garnered some great publicity, a nice gimmick and good word of mouth . . . The only thing the need is a few films!!!

I've always wondered why so many Kansas City filmmakers have yet to make a serious attempt to use Youtube and other online video services to share their work. My college colleague Todd Norris is the only BRAVE and notable exception.

Still, TKC hopes to see these Socialists succeed because they seem a lot more savvy about media and the real world than those dorks that used to wear those Che Guevara t-shirts everywhere about nine years ago . . . Who where those guys? Somehow, I can't remember their name. Ah, that's right . . . Rage Against the Machine.
