Speaking of, Friday is the big showdown when it comes to the fight against the bus in Kansas City . . . Coincidentally, Mayor Funky and his people aren't big fans of the bus either so I guess they have something in common after all . . . Other than Supremacy.
Jackson County Judge John O’Malley is scheduled to hear arguments at 2:30 p.m. Friday on an attempt to keep the Kansas City bus tax off the April ballot.Best of luck to everyone and their lawsuits against Kansas City while the rest of the po'folk in this town simply want to ride the bus without too much hassle.
Clay Chastain and Valerie Chastain, his wife and attorney, are asking O’Malley to halt the April 8 vote to renew the bus system’s three-eighths-cent sales tax until litigation over his repealed light-rail plan is settled.

ReplyDeletePlease can't we just get the Train running. I want to sit up front when it goes through Crown Center. I want to be the first to throw my gum on the floor. I want to do a little fur coat collecting and the Plaza broads don't wear fur in summer so lets get it built now.
