This town seems to be home to some of the toughest old broads in existence:

An 80-year-old woman lost her purse in a struggle with an armed robber, but she ended up with the attacker’s gun, and an 18-year-old suspect ended up in custody.

The robbery occurred Tuesday in the 4100 block of Scarritt Avenue in Kansas City when a man with a shotgun under his arm approached the victim on her porch. He grabbed the purse hanging from the woman’s shoulder, and got it away from her when the strap broke. But he dropped his gun, which the woman picked up. She threatened to shoot but didn’t.

While some may see this story as inspiring, it actually raises my fear level given that we now know that Kansas City area Grandma's have yet another weapon at their disposal other than guilt and passive aggressive personal insights.
