The Internet Beat Blunt

Of course the local media like to play most scandals like political intrigue but the story is simple in the downfall and Gov. Matt Blunt. The guy just didn't know how to handle the Internet.

From deleted e-mails to bloggers from across the state taking aim at him . . . With very few defenders.

The rest is really back story along with his latest net inspired lawsuit:

Scott Eckersley, a lawyer fired from Gov. Matt Blunt's office, filed a suit that accuses several top Blunt aides of ordering the illegal destruction of state e-mails to prevent potentially damaging messages from being turned over to reporters.

Again, this case isn't about personnel or ever bad people skills . . . Take note Show Me State . . . Baby Blunt will be the last politico to hold a high ranking office with little or no net savvy. Any others like him will probably be faced with the same kind of horrible poll numbers and the prospect of being thrown out of office come election day.
