Here is a portion of an e-mail that I just read.
All of the information is publicly available so feel free to check it out for yourself.
I'm not making any judgments about Calvin Williford, a spokesman for Jackson County.
But I will note that a lot of good people at the County (without long histories on Case.net) stand to lose their jobs because of rampant (some say slapdash) budget cuts and I predicted this would create a lot of resentment in county government.
And without any further ado, here's the scoop:
"I have to say that ever since this guy Calvin Williford just popped on the scene something about him just didn't seem right. I get that feeling sometimes about people and I've learned to trust it. Well it took some time but now it looks like I was right.
Nobody else knows it yet but it seems that Williford has proven himself to be a liar and serial con man who likes to borrow money and not pay his bills. Worse he's also a stalker. He's even been prosecuted for refusing to show up for jury duty in St. Louis! This guy used to be the spokesman for the @#& prosecutor's office! Now he's pulling down 6 figures from the Jackson County tax coffers and working for the County Chief Executive!

So there you have it. I did the CaseNet search and the information seemed to check out about the cases filed but with no real details about the verdicts or info related to the cases. In and of itself, being on CaseNet isn't a crime but the dude who sent me this e-mail (whose e-mail address in turn, I'll protect till the gates of Hell) clearly has a bone to pick with the guy (nullus) and has a lot of documentation for his fight.
However, I only posted this in the interest of clearing the air and providing a forum for people to know about the politicos who serve them . . . That's why I posted this publicly available information. To be fair to Williford, I've heard a lot of great things about him and he is an active participant in the very awesome KC Pride Democratic Club.
So, there's all the info. Judge (lest ye be judged) for yourself.

But here's a question for 9:11.
If the KC Pride is a gay club. Instead of a "front" shouldn't it be described as a top or a bottom. A pitcher or a catcher, something more clever.

if you want clever term do describe the pride democrat club try money laundering. apply it to cal's slush fund named after roger gooden too. cal and the union toughs that run the county used it in 2006 to trash scott burnett. there should have been an ethics complaint about the attack mailing that they sent out about burnett paid for by the gooden slush fund the weekend before the election. scott should have filed an ethics complaint against cal and his posse for that. that is cal's style of politics.
going back to the original post. everything that cal has something to do with seems to be questionable in some way. something is always dirty or not what it seems. the longer he stays around somewhere the more the stink sticks to everyone in the room. you are on to something tony.

Cal is Mike Sander's "Gloria" (no homo) and plays the same destructive role in the County Courthouse as Gloria plays at the City Hall. I wounder whether Mike will deal with his problem better than Funk deals with his problem.
You have just shown one of the problems with casenet. If you plug in any name, it can and often will give you entries for that name, even for more than one person with that name. For example, if I plugged in the name Mike Sanders, (Don't believe me yet? You shouldn't. Who the hell am I? But it's all in the court record. Check it out on CaseNet)
I could see that Sanders is currently doing life for drug trafficking. And has almost 12, yes 12 convictions for drug cases! Wow! The county exec is running the county from Fulton Prison! My point? You just MAY have included some entries for other people as well with the same name (your "source" probablhy knows this, but may not really be all interested in accuracy). BTW, it is not 9 different cases, but some of those are data log entries for the same case, looks like its only 5.
I think 10:45 is correct. For example, Williford never lived in St Louis (he came here from DC/California after working for the White House), so a jury summons never could have issued for him out of St Louis. Some other person with the same or similar name. Looks like the source needed to do more homework.

5:21, the point is, Einstein, that the great and omnipotent "source" was WRONG when they said that his data represented 9 case entries, it appears to be only 5 and it could be less. Also, those 5 assumed case entries may be for other people in whole or in part. Thus, if you still need me to continue to connect the dots (i.e. - you are an imbecile) this appears to be nothing more than the usual political chaf/spin, employed to smear, not inform or present the truth.

Nobody needs you to "connect the dots." The court already did that. CaseNet DOES show the disposition of each case, and the amount of the judgements against the defendant. CaseNet IS the official court record (the facts and the truth, not the spin). Keep sniping- but court cases are not something you can just "smear" away.

I've got agree with whoever e-mailed this. It's stuff that people have a right to know and it rarely makes it into those profile stories by The Star which never give any relevant information. If these court cases don't bother you fine. But saying that people don't have the right to know or nitpicking their comments just shows that you have something to hide. He's a public official and like him or not he has a lot of court cases that make people uncomfortable. He is free to explain.
It speaks volumes about the credibility of TKC when Tony is apparently so inept at using Casenet that he fails to do even a rudimentary check to make sure the "Calvin Willifords" he finds listed in Casenet are the same Calvin Williford who works for Mike Sanders.
Here's a hint for you, Tony: trying checking the dates of birth and/or the addresses listed under the heading "Parties and attorneys." If you have different addresses and dates of birth it's a pretty good sign you have more than one person with the same name with court cases.
Keep on blogging, Tony. Perhaps you should add a motto to your blog: All the half-ass news I'm too fucking lazy to double-check.

Actually it may indicate someone who uses an alias. Criminals conmen and those who, shall we say, think that debts don't apply to them, often use aliases. They have to. To avoid exactly this.

Why worry about protecting your (ahem) "source" when everyone who has ever dealt with him can instantly recognize Bill Wilcox's rather distinct style of writing?
Looks like Billy-Boy, ace conspiracy theorist, has used up what little credibility he had with the legitimate media and moved on to try and get the bloggers who haven't yet come to realize that when he stomps his little feet, puts his hands on his hips and screams "Hey! Look at me!" in his high-pitched little voice it's time to run in the opposite direction.
Some sources need to be taken with a grain of salt. And then there's Bill Wilcox who needs to be taken with a whole friggin' salt mine.
PLEASE NOTE:
After all of Calvin's desperate sycophants have gone away, and all the misdirected race baiting has died down, THE Calvin Williford (the same one still making more $ than a judge at Jackson County) is STILL being sued by John Bondon for being what he is: a deadbeat liar. Once, or twice, or thrice or more a deadbeat liar, always a deadbeat liar. Next court date is the first week of January.
