The TKC Saturday Night Podcast: Autumn

I may have jumped the gun on this one but I figure now that Autumn is here, it's time to celebrate the arrival of the new season with a few choice songs.

In general, songs about Autumn are horribly depressing, so I decided to mix in some tunes vaguely related to the word "Fall" in order to lighten the mood. However, I couldn't help but lead off with a haunting version of "Autumn Leaves" by Eva Cassidy. If you know anything about her career, it's enough to rip your heart right out . . . Still, before her untimely death, she performed one of the best renditions of that song I've heard in a long time.

Similarly, it was about time to include the song "Seasons" by the Cunninlynguists because the tune is awesome and expresses some of the common discontent with the current state of hip-hop music.

And just for giggles, here's a bikini photo of Autumn Reeser, who always puts me in a good mood.

So, enjoy the beginning of this fall season folks and, as always, have a safe and fun weekend. Thank you for reading.

I remember thinking that Cunninglinguist was funny.

Then I turned 14 and it wasn't so funny any more.

Doesn't KC have enough fratbands?

I don't hang around in the crossroads district, so I guess I'm not hip to the art scene.

My idea of performance art is drinking a 12 pack of PBR and then drunk dialing people and calling them pussies for being asleep at 3 am on a Tuesday morning.

Or I might stand at the toilet bracing myself against the wall and doing my own perfomance art called, "Can I hit the porcelan better than the tile floor?"

That's a fun one.

Cunninglinguist is the gheyist name I've ever heard. Funny if you're in 8th grade.

For a guy with an idiotic political bent, you've got some kickass taste in music, or at least know how to build a playlist...keep it up!

I never thought of it like that, but it really is true.

We actually wait for the things which are about to come and in which we will have good times.
