"SICKO" PROTESTS IN KANSAS CITY!!!

Tess Koppelman covers this extremely important local story that sadly, went overlooked by other news outlets:
Protests were taking place all over the country Friday night, demanding better health care for all.

The protests stemmed from a Kansas City man's story told in the Michael Moore documentary "Sicko." Tracy Pierce's story was featured. He died in February of last year after being denied several medical treatments . . . People in Kansas City protested outside Pierce's health insurance provider, Coventry
Come to think of it, I'm surprised this story (and so many others like it) doesn't have people more concerned and riled up given that the lack of affordable healthcare is an issue that affects almost all of us . . . AND our Governor Baby Blunt has such a horrible record on healthcare AND KC's Mayor has chatted about cutting off indigent care . . . In other words, politicos in this part of the country are literally trying to kill their opposition . . . Eh, maybe that's a little strong, but they're sure as hell helping to ensure that po'folk in Kansas City can't afford decent care.

That movie SiCKO could have had a major impact on American policy, had it not been for the "British Doctors' Bomb Plot" from al-CIAda and the Walter Reed Government Hospital scandal that surfaced around that time. Very koinkidental.

Sometimes it is easier to believe conspiracy theories than to believe that the rest of the population doesn't want to pay for your health care.

Anon 8:06am and 11:51am are perfect examples of why millions are dieing in the States because of lack of health care. I'm from the states and have lived in Europe and Canada with my profession. In those parts, Universal Healthcare is our baby and nobody will take that away. Every excuse played on talk radio and on Fox News is complete crap.

What people in the States are paying now for health care is way more than what they would be paying in their taxes for universal health care. Even after all of the scary excuses and myths that conservatives try to feed you, working class Europe and Canada live great, if not better than working class USA.

Give it a rest already and take care of your children America.

I pooped this really spicy poo today. We made all this salsa the other day, and I put too many peppers in it. Too much garlic too. My breath smelled like the inside of a colostomy bag.

Gum won't get that stink out.

Right now, without socialized medicine, I foot the bill for myself and no one else.

Under socialized medicine, I'd still have to pay for my own healthcare (means testing and whatnot), PLUS that of several layabouts.

I don't know what grade sk00l you dropped out of, but it is mathematically impossible for Scenario #2 to cost me less than Scenario #1.

Want healthcare? Go buy some. Healthcare is NOT a right, it's a responsibility. Owning up to and embracing such responsibilities is the fundamental mark of adulthood. We've got way too many adult-grown children in this country...
