Kansas City has a long history of smacking around old women

There are a few of you who defend Frances Semler because she's a 73 year-old lady . . . Truly that's a bit of intellectual laziness and doesn't represent the character of this town . . . From old ladies being shot by errant bullets on the Eastside to Missouri's frightening elder care homes, the KC area has always shown contempt for old ladies. Here's the latest example:

93-Year-Old Threatened With Jail Over Paint Job
A car crashed into an elderly woman's home last month, and now she's fighting City Hall to avoid serving jail time.

This week, Davidson said she received a letter from the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services. It said unless Davidson gets the garage painted within 30 days, she could go to jail.

"If I didn't get it done, I'd have to pay $1,000 or spend 180 days in jail," Davidson said.
Obviously, KC stays winning by holding this old woman to the same standards as everyone else and for once, codes violations aren't being cited in order to hassle/hustle a minority out of their home for the sake of condo development.

Soooooo, if KC can send a 93 year-old broad to the clink then every old lady in the metro should be put on notice: NO FREE RIDES GRANDMA.
