It's probably too late to chastise a teen grinning at a murder trial

Check out this smiley story from The Star: Robert Haberlein is a 19-year-old charged with first-degree murder, but the grin on his face Friday in Wyandotte County Juvenile Court belied the gravity of that charge.

And it didn’t sit right with the judge.

Wyandotte County Judge David W. Boal surprised the courtroom Friday when he interrupted an attorney and focused his attention on Haberlein. In a stern and frank voice, he demanded to know what the Kansas City, Kan., teen found funny about a premeditated murder hearing.

What I would have said is, "BAD BAD! BAD BAD BAD! YOU NAUGHTY BAD BAD MAN. SIT BAD MAN! SIT IN THE CORNER."

A 12ga. under the chin would wipe that grin off his face.........
Then YANK the trigger down.
Instant re-hab!
Same for the others.

He's smiling like a chesire cat because he knows he is going to serve 2 years in jail for premeditated first degree murder while his adult co-conspirator may go to the gas chamber or life in prison.

I'd be smiling like I won the lottery too, and in a way he did. Pity people like that rarely see the bullets they dodged until they get struck by a subsequent one.
