MIKE HENDRICKS IS A DOUCHEBAG AND HIS WRITING IS MISLEADING

Yep . . . I knew this was the danger of the stupid sign issue . . . It's nice, it's good for the neighborhood but the fact that it's represented as a "Hispanic Concern" is simply a lie. Still, it's pretty unbelievable today that apparently Mike Hendrick is an expert on the Westside considering THE GUY LIVES IN JOHNSON COUNTY so I don't know where his finger is (ew) but it's not really on the pulse of this community . . . And yes, on the sign issue Funkhouser has had a modicum of success but that doesn't really measure up TO THE FAR GREATER NUMBER of people in this neighborhood that he has pissed off by standing in the corner of an anti-Latino group. I have no idea why Hendricks is shilling for the Mayor but this kind of CLEARLY MISLEADING COLUMN would have you forget that hundreds of people showed up on the Westside to yell at the Mayor for his disrespect to the people of our community while only a few care about these signs or the Mayor's support ON THIS SINGLE ISSUE. Hendricks attempting to drive a wedge between KC's Latinos and the political groups that have REPRESENTED THEM FOR YEARS is sleazy at best and nothing more than outright SPIN. I ONLY WISH HE'D WRITE ABOUT HIS OWN COMMUNITY which might be a topic where he is more informed . . . Finally, let's wait and see how much love the Westside and the Crossroads have for Funkhouser given the new, imposing condo tower that's planned for Broadway and where Funkhouser stands on the topic that already has a great deal of opposition.
