One last concert in Hyde Park before they turn the place into a substation

I hate happy news but I thought this quick clip of Bob Walkenhorst (of Rainmakers fame) and Jeff Porter performing "One More Summer" at the Hyde Park Children's Film Festival in Kansas City on Friday, July 20, 2007 was pretty neat . . . A nice little reminder that Hyde Park just happens to be a neighborhood and not just a potential substation site for KCP&L.

  1. I drove down Troost and there are a whole lot of sub-stations along that street.
And who are the bloggers who brought attention to the problem of a substation? People cannot go up against a big business entity without getting smashed. The city thinks if kcpl met with the neighborhood it would make everything ok. It's just another way of how the city can screw you. Just like with the no legal parking around sprint arena. If none of the city staffers don't live around the area then it won't effect them.
