Let's settle this once and for all: The Simpsons are from Springfield, Missouri

Via the Branson blog.

I've always thought my favorite cartoon family hailed from the Show-Me State and now it's time to let everybody know.

USA Today - A frightening glimpse into the horrible future of all newspapers - is running a contest to once and all declare a home state for the Simpsons and it's time for Missouri folks to "represent" or more characteristically: Rig the vote!!! 14 Springfield's across the nation are competing and I truly believe that Missouri can stuff the ballot box better than any of them.

Go and vote for Springfield, MO . . . It's the only time I've ever felt good about showing support for the people in the middle of this state.

It ain't Missouri. With a coastline and a harbor, a nuclear power plant, a glacier, Mount Carlmore, Springfield Mesa, neighborhoods like Little Bangkok, Little Newark, and Ethnictown, it can't be Springfield, MO. Also, in the new movie preview, they reveal the four states that border Springfield: Ohio, Nevada, Maine, and Kentucky.
