Ascribing motives to Mayor Funky's critics
EKC contends the lukewarm relationship between the City Council and the Mayor might be because Terry Riley wants to be Mayor and John Sharp doesn't like Mayor Funky from the days of way back . . . And I guess that the other half of the electorate that didn't vote for Funkhouser or the unprecedented influence of his wife . . . Well, they're just being difficult.

It must really suck for all those people who ran Kansas City with a "yes" mayor ( barnes). Now you get a Mayor who can think for himself and now everyone is up in arms.
Loser Alvin Brooks would have been another "yes mayor".
Maybe KC should buy a condo project in Palm Springs and send Sharp, Barnes, Riederer, Shields, Glover, Tindall (and any other I forgot) there. I think everyone is tired of these lifetime politicians, their dishonesty is only exceeded by their stupidity.
They bounce between the city, state and county and when not in office find some other way to suck off the public tit.

im hoping that the citizens of kc doesnt vote for riley hes out for hisself and the hell with anyone else. sounds sort of like the la raza doesnt it. sharp doesnt like funk because of funks recommendation to mast when sharp was in charge. wonder if they would audit mast during sharps stay if it would come up clean?
Anonymous is right. . . Riley do SUCK and I hope no one votes for him. . . He's the councilman for my district and I "still" do not have curbs or sidewalks. I used to ask him at the night clubs (LOL) when are we gonna get them curbs and sidewalks? Truman has curbs and sidewalks, thats all I ask, please? NOTHING, in fact I cut the grass in the street! He's bouncing between city's trying to sell a blank check!! Public BE AWARE!!! I confirm this by asking anyone to drive approximately one block from Research Hospital and see if you see descent curbs and sidewalks!
