Remainders: Sunny Day blogging sucks

  • KC Serial Killer case from the 90's finally put to rest.

  • KC Homicide count now stands at 34.

  • More than a dozen drunks will have to get lawyers . . . DUI checkpoints haven't proven to be much a deterrent over the years but they are good for business.

  • KC School District passes the buck on hiring a guy accused of sexual misconduct.

  • Rockhurst is going to teach neighbors about the importance of parking spaces.
On May 2, Rockhurst submitted plans to the city to expand its parking lot on Troost Avenue east toward Forest Avenue. The plan, if approved in coming weeks, would require at least one house owned by the university to be demolished.
It's an important lesson that beings and ends by realizing that people with a lot of money can pave over whatever they want.

  • Time for Truman Days again OR That smell isn't Springtime!!!

  • The whole City gets to vote on Riverside annex issue.

  • Dog blogging (non-porn)

  • Locals from Democracy and Hip-hop break it down once again

  • There is no such thing as being "thrown clear" . . . Three Teens Ejected In Accident . . . I'm going to have to work on another excuse in order to get out of wearing a seatbelt.

    1. if the university owns a house cant they use it as they see fit? I can understand being pissed if they didnt own it and forced the owners out, I can understand being pissed if there isnt another place for the renters to go- but come on man- there are blocks full of houses to rent within spitting distance.. you are trying to make this an issue about the man bringing people down, but it isnt.

    2. No kidding. If they own the house, who cares? See, that's one of the neat things about owning items. You get to use them as you see fit.

And considering the rathole cesspool of a neighborhood that Rockhurst is in, at least one parking lot not littered with empty Camo cans and fast food sacks would still be an improvement over how people treat the place now.
