Your taxes for the trucking industry

KMBZ reports: "Republican transportation leaders in the Legislature called Thursday for increasing taxes at least $4 billion to pay for interstate highway upgrades. Rep. Neal St. Onge proposed raising taxes to provide dedicated truck lanes on Interstate 70, upgraded ports . . . Sen. Bill Stouffer, R-Napton, already has proposed making dedicated truck lanes on Interstates 44 and 70, using a 1-cent sales tax from 2009-2018 that would raise $7.2 billion."
They're proposing more taxes on gas as well in what I'm assuming to be an attempt to help the British push gas to at least 5 bucks a gallon sometime in the next two years.
