Baby murder stories and other tales of trauma/drama involving kids are never a nice way to start the day . . . But here are a few that sadly caught my eye nonetheless:
Seems like you'd get more time for stealing a car: Man Will Spend Seven Years in Prison for Killing Baby
Man Sentenced to Six Years For Having Sex With Babysitter . . . The guy's baby's mama "encouraged them to be intimate because she was pregnant." Ugh. Talk about a recipe for postpartum depression. Note: Do women who aren't white get postpartum depression? When ever I see cases profiled in the news it's always a white broad who regrets having kids (???) I wonder if that's just ordinary media bias of if there is some kind of statistical evidence that reflects the phenomenon in much the same way that (the few remaining) Native Americans all have diabetes because of either genetic predisposition or the fact that fry bread is delicious.
Man Accused of Sex Crimes, Family Says It's a Lie
KCMO school district can't even teach kids the finer points of the concealed carry law: Tip Leads Police to Arrest of High School Student
Notice all of these stories come from KCTV5 so some new marketing data that reveals that scaring the crap out of you regarding what could be the fate of your children must somehow equal higher ratings. Seems plausible but sadly, I'm to busy hiding under my sheets in order do any research.
