Can Cauthen survive without Kay?

Yael T. Abouhalkah compiles quotes from nearly everyone running for Mayor about the fate of Wayne Cauthen should they win.

Only Funkhouser comes right out and says that he's getting fired right after election day and the others merely imply it. But make no mistake, he's gone right after Kay clears out here desk. In fact, he should ask her to help him get his things together .

Sadly, Cauthen hasn't made any major missteps save one: He's basically been Kay's henchman which is what she has done to nearly everyone who as served under her reign. Incidentally, any time a leader makes their subordinates merely vessels of their will is a pretty good indication that the person in charge is nothing but a tyrant and Kay fits that bill perfectly. In this case it's going to cost Cauthen his job but in the grand scheme of things . . . Kay's caustic style nearly killed political discourse in this community with few people empowered enough to offer alternative opinions to her failed leadership without facing reprisals.

Also, alliteration is awesome and I don't think anyone is going to miss the guy or at least they can't say they will since one of Cauthen's major initiatives has been to enforce Kay's will that no one at City Hall should say anything without (her) permission.
