Steve Shaw: Local reporter as well as drunken(?), bloodied and embarassed looking MU fan

There are some awesome reporters out there in KC, I guess Fox 4's Steve Shaw is pretty good as well but truth is I watch Channel 9. Thing is, a good portion of local TV newscasts involve showing mugshots of mostly people of color or very po' looking white guys yet they keep the inner workings and lives of their own staff a huge secret for the most part. So I guess turnabout is fair play but also I'm a creep.
Anyway, here is the rumor, Shaw was spotted drunk on the Plaza this weekend and crashed his car. Some say he refused to take a breathalyser test as well. All I do know for sure is that there is most likely some element of truth to the story given that it was also accompanied by this sad, sad looking mug shot. And yes, the second I'm in trouble I do expect that my mug will be strewn across the local TV landscape accompanied with high 5's and a huge smile by my sweet, hot ass, flower Kelly Eckerman.
Finally, I want to add that I think that alcoholism is a disease. In the early stages it's a lot more fun than cancer or the like which involve painful hospital treatments and not cavorting at clubs with fine ass women and all of your jokes being hilarious and set to your favorite music . . . However, just like any disease the end result is a dirt nap if it goes untreated. Here's hoping the management at Fox 4 will help Shaw get treatment for whatever problem with the po-po he might have had recently AND NOT summarily fire him like they have done to other employees who may or may not have previously embarrassed them.
P.S. - Anybody know whatever happened to Shauna Thomas? If she's working as an escort (which seemed to be her career trajectory), I definitely have some X-mas money I'd like to send her way.

I love seeing conservative Fox4 personalities (whom I despise) and sports fanatic/idiot/commentators (whom I despise), getting in trouble for just being themselves.
Just sort of validates my whole opinion of them.
Stupid fucking jocks.
READ A BOOK!

You never watch Fox 4 do you? Fox 4 is anything but conservative. Also, you should note, that Mr. Shaw has done some very liberal takes in his stories. I think you've mistaken Fox 4 News for some other media outlet.
How come no new posts today? The East Side had it's 100th homicide for 2006 last night, I'd have figured you'd be all over that. :)
Tony, it's really sad how you continue to rag on Shauna Thomas for a movie that was closer to PG-13 than porn.
well... anyone who would wear a Mizzou shirt in public deserves a cock punch.
/Nelson: Ha-Ha!
I just moved to the plaza. Maybe I can hit this guy with my car.
Wow. No posts from Tony today?
This is kinda creepy.
It's like that movie, "A Day Without a Mexican". It's just not right.
I put "newish" stuff up today, you just had to scroll down. But according to my site stats this is what everyone wanted to see . . . So I moved it up top and kept it there . . . The scroll wheel could be the most valuable invention since the port-o-potty.
Yeah, I was gonna say "learn to scroll, dumbasses" but you beat me to it.
Shaw shouldn't lose his job because he got drunk off work! He should lose his job for that stupid-ass chocolate milk jug snow measurerer-thingy. For Christ's sakes they actually had him on national TV (Weather Channel) talking about that damn thing. Then some kids take it away from him and he resorts to a snow scraper!?!!
Incompentency is a reason to dismiss. Unless, of course, you are a minority or an illegal alien.
yeah, i actually met Steve Shaw the night before that at 810 Zone at Town Center. he was smashed and evidently is going through "a transitional time in his life"...i guess he puked in front of the bar that night.
Shaw a conservative? What a joke. You are obviously uninformed. And what about your liberal compassion for others? I have seen him do some great stories for Kansas City and almost everything he does is in some way intended to help the region. Fox's firing of him is a shame and I would look for him to rebound here soon. I wonder how many anonymous bloggers would be willing to post their personal "bits"?
